These types of antennas are similar to CB sticks you find on offroad vehicles usually attached to a big chrome ball and spring. The 2 options I am considering are Hustler and MFJ. The cheapest route would be MFJ HF sticks or mini HF sticks. Webb18 nov. 2014 · Jan 25, 2008. #10. I use two antennas, depending on the band. I have a Yaesu ATAS-120A for HF, but can switch to a Wilson 1000 cut for 10m if I want to run more than 100w. The Yaesu is a compromise antenna, but works well for me, given I have an FT-857 in the mobile, and don't do a lot of HF work while mobile.

About £35. I have some magnetic rubber sheets under them to protect the paintwork. I have the 10m/15m/20m/40m versions. 10/15 are dire at the moment but 20/40 are fine.
